Which filter kit is used for Barnstead Infinity Lab Water System

Question

We have acquired a Barnstead Nanopure Infinity model D8961 and need to purchase a new kit. I think these are the correct ones, but what is the difference between

INFINITY KIT ORGANIC FREE TAP/DI Catalog # D50254,

INFINITY KIT ORGANIC FREE RO/DIS Catalog # D50255

INFINITY KIT TYPE 1 DI/TAP Catalog # D50256

We use the purified water for DNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, yeast and bacterial work

Answer

The difference between those is the feed water quality and weather or not you also want trace organic contamination removed.

The D50254 is for Tap water or Deionized water feed (has higher organic content in feed water)

The D50255 is for Reverse Osmosis or Distilled water free (has low organic content)

They both have a filter for removing trace organic contamination which you will need and make the same quality of water at the outlet.

The D502456 Is for Tap or Deionized Feed (higher organic content) and provides only Ion free water without dealing with trace organic contamination. You would not use this kit for the work you listed.
