Question

Can you tell me if the Catalog ID : CR-8 NA is the same as Dow C-249?

Answer

Yes all Cation resin is pretty much the same.

CR-8 and C-249 are all pretty much identical.

In drinking water softeners however you need to use an FDA Food Grade resin which would be the C-100-E. The CR-8 if for industrial uses.
