There are screws that hold it in. It must be corroded.
“To remove an inoperative or damaged heater, loosen the screw under the heater and push out the heater. If the heater is badly scaled, remove the retaining nut and rock the heater back and forth (from inside the evaporator) to break the scale.”
You are probably going to need to replace it. We have that one but we also have complete stainless systems with a tank for around $1300.00
