Hello, I have a question regarding an older Barnstead Nanopure D4751 unit. The resistivity calibration check reading is 11.0 megohm-cm, outside the recommended 9.7-10.3 range. Can this be reset or replaced, and if so should it be? Thanks, Alan
Answer
That would definitely show the meter is out of calibration. The problem is that it is not calibratable. Also since the system have not been made in over 25 years, there are no parts available to fix the reading.
You could note the resistivity after a new set of filters and assume that 18.2 megohm. As it starts to drop, then you would know you had to change the filters.
