Replacing Barnstead Infinity Filters

Question

I just replaced the filter cartridge kit (R/O feed # D50257) for my NANOpure Infinity base unit. Currently nothing is coming out of the unit when I depress the trigger; how long do I have to depress the trigger to fill the cartridges and receive filtered water?

Answer

You will have to keep the valve open to until all the air is displaced. Make sure you remove the 0.22 bacteria filter on the end or it will airlock and stop the flow. Once you get water out then you can reinstall the bacteria filter.

Keep in mind that once the bacteria filter is wet and is filled with air it would take 45 psi for it to start flowing again. You can pour water into the bacteria filter before you re-attach it, it would flow at much less pressure.
