Question
How often should the afs cartridge on a afs 3d Millipore system be replaced?
Answer
The pre-treatment filter protects the Reverse Osmosis Membrane. The best way to know when to change it is by measuring chlorine in the drain water and look for any break through. An alternative wold be to change it roughly every three months.
You replace the deionizer filters when the resistivity begins to fall or at least once per year if it makes it that long.
You replace the bacteria filter when ever you change the deionizer filter.
Here is a link to the replacement filters where you can save quite a bit.
