Best Barnstead D4751 Nanopure water system filters

We just purchased a used Barnstead D4751 Nanopure water system and would like to purchase a set of filters. We plan to feed the unit with standard water from the tap.
1) Is filter kit B-CDDO2 the most appropriate selection, or do we need something to serve as a pre-filter since we are using city water?
2) There is a white plastic canister inside the right side housing, where the ultrafiltered water comes out. Is this another filter that we should replace?
3) There is a very small filter on the hand-held spigot. Is this FF0501 that comes with kit B-CDDO2?

Yes that would be the best kit for that system,
It includes :
1 ea. Carbon filter for removal or large molecular wt. organic compounds.
2 ea. Deionizer filters for the removal or dissolved metals.
1 ea. Organic scavenger for the removal of trace low molecular wt. organic compounds.
1 ea. 0.22 micron capsule filter for the small outlet valve. This filter removes bacteria and particulates.
The small filter in the first is a sanitization filter that can be discarded. They are single use.
You can operate the system, on tap water, but it is always better to pretreat it in order to get much large capacity out of the filters. For instance, pretreating the water with reverse osmosis can extend the life of the filters 15X which in turn reduces your cost by as much. Where you may get 100 gallons on tap water feed, you could expect as much as 1500 gallons of reverse osmosis feed. By adding a small deionizer in the Reverse osmosis system or by feeding the system with distilled water, you can get 10's of thousands of gallons out of the same filter set.
