Meter Reading ERR on Barnstead Nanopure Water System

I have another question about the old Barnstead Nanopure D4751 unit with a resistivity calibration check reading of 11.0 megohm. When running the unit, the resistivity reading rises to 18.3, then (after a few min) starts giving an intermittent and finally continuous "Err" message. Could this simply be due to the meter trying to output a value higher than 18.3? Thanks, Alan
Answer
The "err" Message means the water is measuring higher than 18.3 megohm which would be impossible. Many times that is caused by air in the resistivity cell or the meter has wandered too far out of calibration.
This happens with many of the Barnstead systems especially after filter change-outs.
