Question

I am a chemiy teacher in a high school. I am looking for an economical choice for a method of producing deionized water for use in my chemiy laboratory. Also, something that is easy to hook-up/install would be ideal. What are my best choices?

Answer

It really depends on how much water you will use and what type of water you are starting with.

You can use an RO/DI system like this one

but for a little more and my recommendations would be to use a distiller since it does not require the ongoing expense of replacing filters.

Here are several to chose form depending on you fast you want to make the water and how much you want to store.
