Reverse osmosis units can remove silica At what it removed and of other minerals removed
Answer
You usually get 95-98% reduction across the board including Silica if you use a thin film composite membrane. You do not get this rejection level from the first drop but rather as the membrane starts to flow it get purer for each time the ro starts and stops. If you start and stop the ro system often you will see the water is not as pure as you might think compared to if it runs for longer periods of time.
