Due to a death in our organization we have temporarily changed our ordering procedures. We are now allowing phone in orders for in-stock items only, paid with a credit card. We are not currently accepting purchase orders. Existing orders will be processed. Thank you for your understanding.
Hi I have a Barnstead Nanopure Infinity system D8991 that is having some troubles When I push the Start Stop button it reads the resistance but the pump does not come on The only way I can get the pump on is to hit Mode button then go to external flush and activate it After the 1 minute flush the system will work as normal but will eventually need to have the mode external flush trick done to work again Do you think the pump is going bad or is it something else When it is running the pump does periodically sound intermittent like it is struggling If it is bad is it possible to order a replacement pump Thanks Stephen
Answer
It does sound like a bad pump but then you flush the water helps it start up. Try turning it on with the outlet valve open and see if the pump starts then. If it does but stops when you close the outlet valve, then I would guess it was the pump.
We would need the serial number to know which pup that had. It could be a gear pump or a diaphragm pump.
