Question

I have a Series 1090 E-Pure filtration system 4 module that I am trying to get running Water does not seem to be circulating in the system even with none of the filters installed There are two components which I need more information to be able to test What is the appropriate pressure setting for the pressure regulator 02280 Will the system run properly at pressures BELOW the regulation pressure The pump PU1090X1A seems to work but I would like to test the pressure differential What should the head pressure be for this pump Thank you August

Answer

The pressure regulator should be set to about 15 p.s.i. I would loosen the first housing and turn the water and pump on to see if you have any water flowing at that point.

If you have water there, then remove the bacteria filter on the outlet, open the valve and see if air or water is coming out. If it flows there but not in recirculation, they you could have a back check valve.

If you don't, Turn off water, loosen the connection to the pump and turn the water on and see if you have flow there. If it is feeding into the pump but not out of the pump, you have a bad pump.

The pump needs flooded suction so at least 1 p.s.i. is required as a minimum to the pump.
