Hi I have a technical question regarding our Barnstead Nanopure Diamond UV/UF machine We noticed there is a water leakage within the filtering cartridge compartment I could not find any useful information about it in the manual My question is what can possibly cause the leakage Our cartridge is expired and I was wondering if this somehow could be the cause of this problem Thank you very much

It is probable that it is leaking at the o-rings where the mount is on top of the filter. Check that the two thumb screws are tight. You should be able to slide the pack out a bit and see if it is leaking on top.
The expiration date shouldn't effect leaking but it would affect the water quality as the system will grow pseudomonas and put out added pyrogens and higher total organic carbon as the waste product if the bacteria enters the water.
