Question
I want to purchase a distilled water system but I do not want to remove calcium from my bones as I read can result from drinking distilled water. Does the distilled water reduce or remove all minerals? Do you need to add back minerals to preserve body's natural mineral balance?
Answer
Water Distillers can be found here. https://www.apswater.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=1028&cat=Combo+Units+-+Commercial+%2F+Laboratory+Distilled+Water+System Distilling water does remove all of the minerals but your food contains far more than you need in any given day. We use distill water in our office for all of our drinking water because we like the taste and know that it removes all of the bad chemicals, pesticides and medications that can be found in water. With a distiller you never have a water emergency because you can make pure water from just about any contaminated source. You don’t have to worry, about drinking distilled water because it does not take calcium from your bones. Distilled water is stored and absorbs carbon dioxide which makes it non aggressive. If you read it did that, it was wrong, certainly Reverse Osmosis was never been accused of being too pure to drink. pH is acid in the stomach and is alkaline in the small intestine. The original thought is that the water is so pure that is will dissolve any minerals it comes in contact with. It just is not aggressive enough to do that and is no different than drinking rain water.
