Question
have one of your systems in a house I bought but it wasnt hooked up because the wife before didnt like the taste of the water. Tank RT-844 looks like all I have to do is add salt to tank and cycle water through. Does the mineral tank need to be replaced on occasion?
Answer
It really shouldn't have a taste change unless if was filled with bacteria from non use. You would need to add salt and then regenerate it a few times. Then you can test it and see where you stand.
