Question
Hi Amy, Im reading about Mt Valley Spring Water that comes from a spring in Arkansas. I am not sure if you deal with this type of water or not....but I do like what I read about it. They dont even advertise that its as healthy as it sure seems to be...and its inexpensive. Any thoughts or guidance? Considering keeping the 5 gal bottle in my home.
Answer
You really need to be skeptical with any consumed product that makes a medical claim. When it comes to water there is no shortage of snake oil salesmen preying on the gullible public. Water will do little for you except to hydrate you and provide you with some minerals that you essential get from your food anyway. It is never a good idea to put water in a bottle and store it because it will quickly grow massive amounts of bacteria if there is not a bacterial inhibitor like ozone or chlorine in it. Believe it or not about the best thing you can do is to drink city water. It meets all the regulations in the clean water act and is tested constantly. If you object to the taste of that water, consumer packaged water is the water to go since it does have bacterial inhibitors in it to keep it form "spoiling".
