Im wondering what products will filter chlorine and chemicals out but leave essential minerals? I use my filter for my coffee machine to reduce mineral buildup and for drinking but Ive seen the effects of aging without proper mineral intake and want to avoid that.
Any ideas?
Answer
Coffee has so many minerals in it that shouldn't be a concern. Also you get minerals from food. As far as what the best treatment is for a coffee maker, we use reverse osmosis to feed our Keurig machine and it stays clean like new. You can also use softened water but that leaves the minerals and add a little sodium so you will still see residue. As far as removing chlorine an inline carbon filter will do the trick.
There is nothing in water that would cause aging. That sounds like pseudoscience.
