Replacement deionizer resin and how to make it last much longer

Question

I have the On-The-go portable de-ionizer and my media is about gone. I was wanting to know what type of media would I need to order for this. I would like to order a refill and a couple extra for later use. I only use it to rinse my motorcycles off after washing. I take the de-ionized water and place it in a garden sprayer which works great. Saves the media too. Here are some close specs on it since I can’t find my manual. This looks like it and the measurements are the same. I believe it’s mix bed resin. I have a website if required. Thanks for any advise you can give me.

Answer

This would work great for that and would fill it 4 times.

If you added reverse osmosis in front of it it would last 15X longer making it much cheaper to operate.

You can use one of these :

You would want the 75 gallon per day even though you wont use that in a day, since water is made slow and constant it will allow you to refill the bladder tank fast enough to be usable. The standard home RO systems only make 8 gallons over 24 hours which in reality is just a drip at a time.

You will want to use a bigger bladder so you have enough water to rinse. The standard bladder is only 2 gallons. You can link several together or you can just get a bigger bladder to hold enough water.

You can also use a standard tank and pump to collect and distribute the water.

Tanks can be found here :
