Question

My water pump keeps clicking on and off and their is no water running

Answer

I am assuming this is for a house, if so then,

I can really only guess but it can be caused by one of the following :

  • If you mean water doesn't run at all, a bad pump.
  • A leak somewhere.
  • A Bad check Valve allowing the water to bleed off back through the pump.
  • A blown bladder in a bladder tank (but usually only when water was running).
  • A bad pump control pressure switch.

You may need to have a local well service company take a look at it.
