Question

Is water for injection (WFI) water is drinkable?

Answer

Yes you can drink WFI but it is a very huge waste of money to do so unless there is a specific need for it.

Under normal conditions you would not drink it because of the expense to produce it. There is no health benefit for healthy people.

For those who are immunosuppressed such a bone marrow transplant patients or those with severely compromised immune systems, drinking WFI or USP Purified water is advantageous to eliminate the risk of infection.
