I need water treatment for my home.

I am wondering how to find the best water home filtering system for our home. We live in Dallas, TX.

Answer

It really depends on what type of water you are starting with and what you don't like about the water.

For instance, there is no need to treat city supplied water. It may be desirable to treat it, but not necessary. In that case you may want to softener the water to use less soap and leave less scale on fixtures and such. You may also want to treat drinking water for taste at the kitchen sink with either reverse osmosis or distillation.

For private well water, there can be many different things you want to treat for, but we would need to do a water analysis in order to see what is in it.
