Single tank water water softener vs. dual tank softeners.

Hi When choosing the size of a Fleck dual tank system should I sizeup to take into account the imminent addition of kid to the family Thanks

Answer

Yes you would but they wont use much water until teen years. So the amount of days between regeneration wont be quite accurate.

You really don’t need a dual tank in a home but if you want 24/7 soft water, then you can buy it. Other wise a single tank regenerates at 2 am (adjustable) when no one is using water. If if you needed water during regen, the system bypasses and you would notice much difference in the short term.
