Question
Currently we use hot water from one of our processes (through a heat exchanger) to increase temperature in order to enhance RO production. However, this process water has contaminants that affect the heat exchanger gaskets which break down and then our RO membranes are adversely affected by clogging up.
Answer
It really depends on flow rate. If it is low enough you can you a standard heater or a tankless heater. You may also just need to pretreat the water for hardness, chlorine and particulates so you do not have the problem with fouling.
